As a charitable registered provider of short-term social housing operating in Southend-on-Sea, we believe everyone should have a home of their own.

We currently manage 241-bed spaces in our emergency and short-term accommodation, employ over 90 full and part-time staff and are supported by a number of volunteers.

​Everyone working for HARP plays an important part in helping a person off the streets and back on their feet.

The Catering Services Coordinator is a leader of a team of three staff and a number of regular and committed volunteers. The team includes the Catering Project Worker and Catering & Donations Driver. The post holder will be based at our busy day centre in Central Southend.

To be considered for this role you will need to: 

  • ​Make the evident experience in managing the delivery of all food & catering, stock control, orders, deliveries and donation enquiries

  • Ensure that an appropriate level of service is maintained together with a high level of customer satisfaction and cleanliness within the day service facility

  • Ensure mandatory safety and hygiene training is received by staff, volunteers, and clients

  • Provide regular line management staff and volunteers and co-ordinate supervision and shift patterns

  • Celebrate, praise and value the contribution made by all volunteers

  • Able to build warm and positive relationships with service users, keeping the individual’s best interests at heart.
