We are recruiting a Communications & Digital Fundraising Coordinator to lead on public and internal comms, as well as Digital Fundraising initiative for our Charity in Southend. Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, and working alongside the Community Fundraiser, this exciting role is instrumental in making sure HARP is front of mind for our local supporters, and gives them innovative digital methods by which to support homeless people in the town.

 

If you have experience of managing communications, fundraising or marketing campaigns, have excellent communication skills, and a passion for increasing funding for disadvantaged people, we would love to hear from you. Your skill and experience will have a direct impact in helping local people overcome homeless for good.

 

Main purpose of the job:

  1. Increase public awareness of homelessness and promote HARP’s activities to address the issue in Southend, working across social media, website and traditional media channels.  

  2. To lead on the delivery of digital fundraising at HARP, including campaigns and fundraising events including digital communications with supporters and event participants.

  3. Publicise all HARP’s fundraising activities to maximise fundraising income.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A strong track record of developing and implementing successful press or marketing strategies in a comparable role and demonstrable experience of producing engaging content for websites, social media or digital fundraising and a knowledge of quantifying the impact of such content.

  • Knowledge and experience of developing, delivering and evaluating digital campaigns, with the ability to test, learn and improve.

  • To be proactive and have the ability to stay focused and efficient in the face of changing priorities with the ability to plan work, operate flexibly and work under pressure to tight deadlines. 

  • Be flexible and able to go above and beyond to achieve results, including the ability to work weekends.

  • Have empathy and understanding for homeless people.
