As a charitable registered provider of short-term social housing operating in Southend-on-Sea, we believe everyone should have a home of their own.

We currently manage 241-bed spaces in our emergency and short-term accommodation, employ over 90 full and part-time staff and are supported by a number of volunteers.

​Everyone working for HARP plays an important part in helping a person off the streets and back on their feet.

The Service Manager is a member of a team of four, which includes the Director of Service Operations and three Service Managers (Homeless Prevention, Supported Housing and Supported Housing/Complex Needs. The post holder will be based in Central Southend.

To be considered for this role you will need to: 

  • ​Experience in leading, managing and developing a  large staff team (>15)

  • Experience in managing and delivering services to service users who are homeless and with complex  needs

  • Experience in strategic thinking and multi-agency working

  • Ability to identify, research, develop and implement new business opportunities and initiatives to develop the service

  • Ability to lead, develop and motivate staff to meet challenging performance targets

  • Have empathy and understanding for homeless people.
